Er wordt mij vaak gevraagd of ik in Michigan ben om inspiratie op te doen. Het antwoord is tweeledig: ik ben hier, om me te wijden aan het maken van kunst zonder te veel afleiding. Geïnspireerd ben ik overal waar ik ben, daarom ben ik kunstenaar geworden. Wat inspiratie betreft: het helpt als je veel natuur om je heen hebt en veel tijd om daar te zijn. Ik ben benieuwd hoe dat voor collega’s is!

I am often asked if I am in Michigan for inspiration. The answer is twofold: I’m here to dedicate myself to making art without too many distractions. I am inspired everywhere I am, that’s why I became an artist. As for inspiration, it helps if you have a lot of nature around you and a lot of time to be there. I’m curious how that is for colleagues!
